Job Summary:
Cvent’s Enterprise Services team is seeking a Senior Identity Automation Engineer to drive our identity and access management (IAM) automation initiatives. This role combines deep technical expertise in identity systems with a strong focus on building scalable automation solutions to support our growing enterprise. Core Responsibilities
• Design and implement automation solutions for identity lifecycle management using Python and modern IAM tools
• Lead technical integration efforts during mergers and acquisitions, focusing on identity system consolidation
• Architect and maintain identity synchronization workflows across multiple platforms and directories
• Develop self-service tools and automated processes to streamline access management
• Create and maintain infrastructure as code for identity-related AWS resources
• Collaborate with security teams to implement and automate identity governance controls
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in identity automation
Required Qualifications
• Strong expertise in Okta administration and API development
• Demonstrated experience with identity provider (IdP) integration and federation
• Advanced Python programming skills with a focus on automation
• Extensive experience with AWS services, particularly IAM, Directory Service, and related security services
• Track record of successfully managing identity integration during M&A activities
• Strong understanding of SAML, OAuth, OIDC, and related authentication protocols
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
Preferred Qualifications
• TypeScript/JavaScript development experience
• Experience with additional identity providers (Azure AD)
• elevant certifications (Okta, AWS)
• Experience with SCIM provisioning and automation
• Knowledge of and experience with privileged access management (PAM) solutions
