Responsibilities:

● Administer, maintain, and optimize various databases including MySQL,

Cassandra/ScyllaDB, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Redis, Aerospike, AWS RDS, and Couchbase.

● Perform regular Linux administration tasks including OS upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.

● Ensure high availability, backup, and disaster recovery solutions for databases.

● Provide on-call support for database-related incidents and outages, ensuring timely resolution of issues and minimal impact on operations.

● Implement security best practices to safeguard data integrity and comply with internal and external regulations.

● Document database configurations, policies, and procedures for future reference and auditing purposes.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

● Experience with cloud-based databases and infrastructures, especially in AWS.

● Knowledge of automation tools for database management and monitoring.

● Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for database automation tasks.

● Experience in DevOps environments and integrating databases into CI/CD pipelines.
