Purpose:

We are looking for a committed Lithium ion battery electrolyte specialist, the aspirants should have

widespread knowledge and experience, specifically in electrolytes used in Lithium ion battery. The

candidates will work under the direction of the group lead with the primary role in development &

qualification of electrolytes for Li-ion cells.

Key Responsibilities

- Take ownership of electrolyte development & qualification and lead all the activities related to electrolytes
- Design and develop advanced electrolyte formulations optimized for high-power/high energy lithium-ion battery applications.
- Evaluate and select suitable electrolyte solvents, salts, and additives, considering their compatibility with high-voltage cathode and anode materials.
- Plan and execute extensive testing and evaluation of the developed electrolyte formulations.
- Be the technical point of contact for all electrolyte suppliers & lead the discussions with the suppliers
- Develop & test electrolyte formulations in-house.
- Lead DFMEA activity for electrolyte
- Manage inventory of R&D chemicals, powders, and monitor safety practices in the lab.
- Processing, recording and tracking test data using software tools
- Collaborate effectively with the cross-functional teams and lead the project to successful completion
- Accurately forecast task and project timelines to execute project plans
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in electrolyte chemistry and related technologies.

Qualifications :

- PhD – Materials science/chemistry/electrochemistry/physics with research focus on Li-ion electrolytes ·
- 1+ years of experience in Li-ion cell electrolyte development · Hands on experience in coin cell & pouch cell fabrication to screen materials ·
- Proficient in battery testing techniques such as electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), cyclic voltammetry, and galvanostatic cycling · Proficient in using battery testing equipment ·
- Experience in analyzing battery cell performance data and designing of innovative methodologies to analyze and improve the cell performance ·
- Hands-on experimentation and product development skills paired with an analytical ability to evaluate using first-principles ·
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. ·
- Capable of working in R&D and production line, and working in the low humidity-controlled environment (like dry room)
