Procurement Specialist RoleThe Procurement Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and procuring civil construction materials, equipment, and services for ongoing and upcoming projects. The role ensures cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards and timely delivery to support project execution.Main Responsibilities:Material Procurement & Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and qualify reliable suppliers/vendors for civil works and materials. Float enquiries, obtain quotations, and prepare comparative statements. Ensure procurement is aligned with technical specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and service providers. Negotiate terms, pricing, credit, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings. Monitor supplier performance in terms of delivery, quality, and service.Contract Administration: Draft and review purchase orders, work orders, and contracts in coordination with the contracts team. Maintain procurement records, approvals, and documentation for audits and compliance. Ensure adherence to statutory requirementsCost Control: Monitor and control procurement costs within allocated budgets. Provide cost analysis, market trends, and price benchmarking. Support the project team in preparing BOQ and procurement schedules.Project Coordination: Work closely with the project execution, planning, billing, and QS teams to understand material requirements. Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams for timely delivery and stock management. Assist in resolving material-related site issues.
