Job DescriptionPosition: VMC Machine OperatorDepartment: Production / ManufacturingJob SummaryA VMC (Vertical Machining Center) Machine Operator is responsible for setting, operating, and monitoring VMC machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and quality requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate VMC machines as per daily production plans.Read and understand engineering drawings, job cards, and process sheets.Select and install cutting tools, fixtures, and work-holding devices.Set tool offsets, work offsets, and adjust machine parameters.Monitor machining operations and make necessary corrections.Inspect machined parts using Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, etc.Maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish as per standards.Perform basic program editing (G-Code/M-Code) when required.Maintain daily production logs and reports.Clean and maintain machine tools, tools, and working area.Identify tool wear, breakage, and machine problems and report immediately.Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment.Required SkillsHands-on experience operating VMC machines.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.Knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, and machining processes.Understanding of G-Code/M-Code and basic CNC programming.Proficiency in using measuring instruments.Strong attention to detail and quality.Problem-solving and machine-setting skills.QualificationsITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Machinist, Fitter, Turner, or related fields.1–3 years of experience in VMC operation (Freshers with training can apply).Knowledge of CAD/CAM is an added advantage.Job Type: Full-timePay: From ₹15,000.00 per monthWork Location: In person
