The Director of Data Solutions – APAC is a senior leadership position within the global insurance industry.This role involves overseeing the regional data solutions analyst function, leading a high-performing team and collaborating with stakeholders to standardize semantic models, unified data definitions and power BI solutions across markets.Key responsibilities include:Building and scaling a regional data solutions analyst team through hiring, coaching, performance and career development.Designing and governing unified data models and semantic layers for general insurance aligned to global standards.Delivering power BI enterprise semantic solutions including certified datasets, reusable data products and governed self-service.Operating and optimizing the Power BI platform ensuring governance, premium capacity, xmla, alm/deployment pipelines, tuning and workspace standards.Partnering with snowflake/redshift/informatica teams for scalable and auditable data pipelines.Leading genai strategy for insurance analytics including rag/embeddings, llm prototypes, responsible ai and compliance.Implementing and operating data catalog + lineage platforms such as purview/collibra/alation/informatica edc.Driving cross-market program delivery and ensuring strong executive reporting and stakeholder alignment.Required qualifications include 8–12+ years in data solutions/BI/analytics/data product roles with people management experience. The ideal candidate should be an expert in power BI platform administration, hands-on with snowflake/aws redshift + informatica or similar ETL/ELT and have deep experience designing semantic layers and unified models for insurance analytics.
