Join a team that's leading the way in cannabis financial management.Job SummaryWe're seeking an experienced Cannabis Financial Manager to oversee our accounting, reporting, and compliance operations. As a key member of our finance team, you'll lead end-to-end accounting, ensure proper revenue recognition, and drive financial planning for new product launches and expansion initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Accounting & Reporting: Manage full-cycle accounting, general ledger, month-end closing, and financial statements under US GAAP.Revenue Recognition: Ensure accurate P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statements, and variance analysis.Cannabis-Specific Financial Compliance:Compliance Expertise: Apply IRC Section 280E rules to ensure compliant tax positioning.Inventory Management: Work with METRC/seed-to-sale data to validate inventory valuation and audit trails.Budgeting, Forecasting & FP&A:Financial Planning: Build annual budgets, rolling forecasts, scenario models, and financial dashboards.Operational Insights: Provide insights on margins, pricing models, and operational KPIs.Cash Flow & Operational Finance:Cash Management: Oversee AP/AR, vendor management, and cash-flow planning.Working Capital: Improve working capital processes and financial controls.Qualifications:CPA License: Hold an active CPA license.Total Finance Experience: Have 6-10 years of total finance/accounting experience.Cannabis Industry Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the cannabis industry (cultivation, manufacturing, retail, or ancillary services).Technical Skills: Strong expertise in US GAAP, 280E, cost accounting, and financial modeling, as well as experience working with METRC, QuickBooks, ERP systems, and cannabis POS platforms.PREFERRED SKILLS:Mult-entity Consolidations: Experience in multi-entity consolidations.SaaS Technical Operations: Background in SaaS/tech-enabled services financial operations.Cannabis Compliance: Knowledge of state-by-state cannabis compliance requirements.Data Visualization: Strong Excel and data visualization skills using Power BI/Tableau.
