OverviewJob Description: Senior Systems Engineer – Ops GovernancePosition Overview:We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our Operations Governance team. The ideal candidate will excel in managing operational incidents, facilitating effective communication across teams, analyzing data for continuous improvement, and driving incident resolution through coordinated bridges. This role demands strong technical acumen combined with exceptional leadership and communication skills.ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:Lead and coordinate high-severity incident management activities, ensuring timely resolution and minimal business impact.Serve as the primary bridge driver during incident events, orchestrating cross-functional team collaboration and communication.Maintain clear, concise, and effective communication with stakeholders throughout the incident lifecycle.Develop and deliver impactful PowerPoint presentations summarizing incident post-mortems, trends, and operational improvements to leadership and technical teams.Analyze operational data and incident trends to identify root causes, recurring issues, and opportunities for process optimization.Collaborate with engineering, support, and management teams to drive continuous improvement in incident response processes and operational governance.Mentor and guide junior engineers in incident management best practices and operational governance frameworks.Ensure adherence to organizational policies and standards related to incident management and operational governance.Preferred Experience:Experience working in large-scale cloud or enterprise IT environments.Familiarity with incident management tools such as ServiceNow, PagerDuty, or Jira.Background in systems engineering, network operations, or DevOps.RequirementsRequired Skills and Qualifications:Proven experience in incident management and operations governance in a complex technical environment.Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive incident bridges and facilitate cross-team collaboration under pressure.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with technical teams and business stakeholders alike.Proficiency in creating clear and professional PowerPoint presentations for executive-level reporting.Skilled in data analysis techniques and tools to interpret incident metrics and operational data.Deep understanding of system architectures, monitoring tools, and incident response frameworks.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing multiple priorities simultaneously.Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL) are a plus.
