Job OverviewWe're seeking a skilled technologist to lead the development and implementation of machine learning pipelines.Owning the entire end-to-end ML pipeline, from data ingestion to model deployment, to ensure seamless integration and high-quality results.Designing and shipping scrappy v1s quickly, then hardening to reliable v2s. Focusing on zero-to-one initiatives, followed by scaling one-to-many deployments.Key Responsibilities:Data Architecture: Ingest and manage data across various platforms, including Shopify, GA4, ESP, and CRM systems; define event taxonomy, identity graphs, and data contracts.Feature Engineering: Build offline/online features for predicting customer lifetime value, propensity, and clustering; ensuring parity with feature stores (e.g., Feast) and model registries (e.g., MLflow).ML Pipeline & Training: Develop reproducible training pipelines using Python, SQL, and dbt, with experiment tracking, hyperparameter search, and evaluation.MLOps & Deployment: Package models in Docker containers, deploy to managed services like Vertex, SageMaker, or Cloud Run, integrate CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, and implement blue-green/rollback strategies.Orchestration: Schedule jobs with Airflow or Prefect, manage dependencies, SLAs, retries, design backfills and incremental loads.Observability: Implement data quality checks using Great Expectations and dbt tests, monitor model performance and drift, set up alerting and cost guardrails.Activation & APIs: Develop fast, robust services using FastAPI or Cloud Functions to push signals into external APIs or via reverse ETL tools like Hightouch or Census.Experimentation & Measurement: Collaborate with product and GTM teams on uplift tests, holdouts, and calibration to prove incremental value.Documentation & Enablement: Create clear runbooks, ERDs, and playbooks, teach others to self-serve.
