Position Overview:

Pinkvilla is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Junior Merchandiser to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for fashion trends and a deep appreciation for traditional Indian textiles. This role involves supporting the merchandising team in product selection, inventory management, coordination with suppliers, and handling invoicing to ensure a diverse and appealing product range.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and execution of merchandising strategies to drive sales and profitability.
  • Support the senior merchandising team in product selection and assortment planning based on market trends and customer preferences.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and artisans to ensure timely delivery of products and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Handle invoicing with vendors and suppliers, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the inventory management team to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Analyse sales data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement and assortment adjustments.
  • Help in the preparation of visual merchandising plans and ensure effective execution on the e-commerce platform.
  • Assist in creating and updating product descriptions, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies and campaigns for product launches and key sales periods.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging textile innovations to inform merchandising decisions.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field.
  • Previous experience 3 years in merchandising, buying, or a related role, preferably in the fashion or e-commerce industry.
  • Strong understanding of fashion trends and a passion for traditional Indian textiles.
  • Experience in handling invoicing and vendor/supplier management.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
