We are seeking a certified ISO14064 Auditor to join our team, focusing on the successful implementation of the Carbon Reduce Program in India. This role will involve conducting remote carbon assessments for UKI customers and providing onsite audits within India. The auditor will work within a small, dedicated team and will be responsible for conducting organizational-level carbon footprint audits for a diverse range of new and established clients. These audits, typically lasting 2-5 days, will align with our internal GHG (Greenhouse Gases) program, accredited to ISO14065, and will include a combination of site visits and remote data verification.


You will be degree educated with a background in science, environmental studies or engineering, with a minimum of 3 years experience as an Auditor with significant practical experience in GHG consultancy or auditing, specifically with ISO 14064 Part 1 & 3, GHG Protocol accounting standard, value chain standard and GHG Protocol Scope 2 standard.


You will use your excellent verbal and written business English communication skills to audit with customers and prepare detailed audit reports, and will have great customer relationship building skills.


Key responsibilities include:

GHG Audits & Emissions Calculation

Conduct comprehensive GHG audits by gathering and analysing data on energy usage, fuel consumption, and other activities contributing to emissions. Use standardized tools to calculate the organization’s carbon footprint, covering direct (Scope 1), indirect (Scope 2), and other emissions (Scope 3).

Data Verification & On-site Assessments

Verify the accuracy of emissions data provided, such as energy invoices and transportation logs. Conduct on-site visits to observe emissions tracking systems and ensure proper implementation of reporting practices.

Compliance & Risk Assessment

Ensure compliance with national and international GHG regulations (e.g., Kyoto Protocol, Paris Agreement) and voluntary certification standards like ISO 14064 and the GHG Protocol. Assess risks related to non-compliance, financial penalties, and reputational damage, providing recommendations for mitigation.

Reporting & Strategic Advising

Prepare detailed audit reports with findings and actionable recommendations for improving GHG emissions management. Provide expert advice on reduction strategies, such as energy efficiency, renewable energy adoption, and setting achievable GHG reduction targets.

Stakeholder Communication & Continuous Improvement

Communicate audit results and recommendations to key stakeholders, offering training on GHG reporting and reduction practices. Track the organization’s progress and stay updated on the latest GHG auditing standards and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance and competitiveness.
