Develops software including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases and Internet-related tools. Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design.Management Level Definition:Contributions include applying developed subject matter expertise to solve common and sometimes complex technical problems and recommending alternatives where necessary. Might act as project lead and provide assistance to lower level professionals. Exercises independent judgment and consults with others to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.What you'll do:Come and be part of the team which is helping shape our vision of next generation data center and enterprise switching products and solutions. You will be part of a team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining routing and switching software for our product lines. This will involve complete life cycle of product development spanning, (but not limited to) the following:You will be required to work with product management and other cross functional teams to develop detailed software functional specification, articulate system/software architecture specifications, for product features to meet product requirements.You will be required to carry out detailed design and implementation, unit testing, integration of protocols, and other related software components for products and features.What you need to bring:7-10 years of experience as a Software Developer in Layer2/Layer3 networking or related systems areaStrong in C/C++ programming, data structures, algorithms, Linux/FreeBSD OS conceptsExcellent problem solving and debugging skillsExperience in implementing one or more routing protocols like OSPF, IS-IS, BGP or MPLS signalling protocols like RSVP, LDP or multicast routing protocols like PIM, IGMP.Familiarity with L2 switching, EVPN, VXLAN, VPLS, L2VPN  is preferredProactive mindset and strong willingness to learn and adopt new software development tools and technologiesBS/MS in Computer Science or similar discipline Additional Skills:Cloud Architectures, Cross Domain Knowledge, Design Thinking, Development Fundamentals, DevOps, Distributed Computing, Microservices Fluency, Full Stack Development, Security-First Mindset, Solutions Design, Testing & Automation, User Experience (UX What We Can Offer You:Health & WellbeingWe strive to provide our team members and their loved ones with a comprehensive suite of benefits that supports their physical, financial and emotional wellbeing.Personal & Professional DevelopmentWe also invest in your career because the better you are, the better we all are.
