Performance TesterPosition OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Performance Tester to join our Quality Assurance (QA) team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing performance tests to ensure optimal application speed, scalability, and reliability across web and mobile platforms. This role requires expertise in performance testing tools, cloud environments, and collaboration with development teams to optimize application performance.Key Responsibilities1.Performance TestingoDesign and execute performance tests for web and mobile applications.oUse tools like JMeter and Locust to assess application speed, scalability, and reliability.2.Mobile & Front-End Performance OptimizationoImplement and test performance metrics for front-end responsiveness and mobile application performance.oFocus on improving app speed, load times, and resource usage.3.Monitoring and AnalysisoUtilize Datadog to monitor and analyze performance metrics in real-time.oIdentify and address performance bottlenecks to optimize application behavior.4.Cloud InfrastructureoDeploy, manage, and optimize test environments in Azure Cloud to replicate realistic production scenarios.oEnsure the infrastructure supports complex performance testing requirements.5.Scripting and AutomationoDevelop and maintain automated test scripts for load and stress testing.oBuild reusable and efficient testing frameworks for mobile and front-end applications.6.Cross-Platform CollaborationoWork closely with front-end and mobile development teams to integrate performance testing within the development lifecycle.oProvide actionable insights to optimize code and application design.7.DocumentationoDocument testing processes, performance metrics, and findings.oMaintain detailed reports on test results, identified bottlenecks, and resolution steps.8.Continuous ImprovementoStay current with advancements in performance testing tools and techniques, particularly for web and mobile platforms.oRecommend and implement innovative strategies to enhance performance testing processes.Qualifications and Skills•Technical Skills:oProficiency in performance testing tools such as JMeter, Locust, and Datadog.oHands-on experience with cloud environments, specifically Azure Cloud.oStrong scripting skills for test automation (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, or other relevant languages).oFamiliarity with mobile and front-end performance optimization techniques.•QA Credentials:oSolid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.oExperience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating testing within DevOps workflows.oKnowledge of manual/automation testing and other QA processes to complement performance testing.•Soft Skills:oStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.oExcellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings.oA proactive mindset for identifying opportunities for process and application improvements.Experience•Overall 8+ years. 3-5+ years of experience in performance testing for web and mobile applications.•Experience with cloud-based performance testing environments, preferably Azure Cloud.•Proven track record of optimizing front-end and mobile application performance.Educational Requirements•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.•Relevant certifications in QA or performance testing (e.g., ISTQB, CP-SAT) are a plus.
