SM Renergy (P) Ltd (SMR) is a solar PV EPC company that constructs, owns and operates solar projects. We are headquartered in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh and operate across India, Middle East and Africa within the commercial and industrial customer segments. We are focused on installing high quality photovoltaic projects for Government entities and Tier 1 companies. The team members have between them developed, financed and installed over INR 100 Cr of projects.

SMR is seeking an experienced Bid Management Manager to add to our rapidly expanding team of technical professionals. 

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing enquiry floated by client as per the requirement for solar PV systems 
• Preparing Techno-commercial proposal as per client requirement and ensure RFP/RFQ compliance and technical clarification.
• Interaction with new vendors of Lithium-ion batteries, Inverters, other BOS items and floating enquiries
• Vendor development. Create and maintain a vendor database.
• Techno-commercial evaluation of Li-ion Battery and Inverter vendors.
• RFQ/ RFP Preparation, Floating RFQ, preparing Comparison Statement with rate analysis, Negotiation with Vendors/ Contractor Technically & Commercially
• Reviewing tender documents and checking the feasibility for technical qualification, financial criteria
• Prepare of bid document as per tender requirement
• Prepare a bid document as per tender document. Prepare formats of the documents such as Price format, BG, Supply Records, Project summary etc. in line with the tender requirements.
• Monitoring tender deadlines on a daily basis. Compile bid submission documents in relation to tendering/bidding activities, tender questionnaires, and pre-qualifications.
• To monitor and ensure that tender submission due dates are strictly followed, including checking, binding, packing, and preparing outgoing submissions.
• Raising Pre-Bid Queries by coordinating with Technical & Design team, Validity Extension letters, EMD follow-up.
• Coordinates with the finance team to get the EMD if required.
• Participating in major tenders like NHAI, NHIDCL, RVNL, Indian Railway, NTPC & NVVN | NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Ltd., MES (Solar), DMRC, SECI, UPJN, DJB, IOCL.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a bid manager, proposal manager or a similar role, preferably in India.
• Experience in managing bids for complex projects or large-scale contracts.
• Knowledge of Indian government procurement processes and regulations.
• Demonstrated success in winning bids through effective proposal management.
• Strong understanding of the bid lifecycle, proposal writing, development and contract negotiation.
• Being well acquainted with the Indian market, contract laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in using bid management software and MS Office.
• Ability to implement budgetary and cost-control measures with solid negotiation and persuasive skills.
• Attention to detail and high accuracy in bid preparation and review.
• Familiarity with government procurement processes and industry-specific bid requirements (if applicable).
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at various levels.
