Job Opportunity:We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Senior Security Engineer. This position involves designing and implementing Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) solutions to ensure enterprise data assets are secure, integral, and compliant.This key role focuses on operationalizing DAM solutions, integrating them with broader security architecture, and providing visibility into database activities across the organization.Responsibilities include design, deployment, and management of Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) solutions across diverse database platforms (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).Policies for monitoring, alerting, and auditing of database activities will be defined and implemented to detect unauthorized access, data exfiltration, and policy violations.The successful candidate will collaborate with Security Architects to integrate DAM into the broader security architecture and ensure alignment with enterprise risk management strategies.Development and maintenance of cases, rules, and dashboards for DAM tools will support threat detection, compliance reporting, and forensic investigations.Collaboration with database administrators, application owners, and compliance teams is required to ensure DAM coverage and effectiveness across critical systems.Conducting technical risk assessments and security exposure analyses for database environments will be a key responsibility.Evaluation and recommendation of DAM technologies and vendors; leading proof-of-concept and implementation efforts will be necessary.Automating DAM-related processes for alert triage, incident response, and reporting will also be required.Participation in security incident investigations involving database systems and contributing to root cause analysis and remediation planning is expected.Providing technical assistance and mentorship to security analysts and engineers supporting DAM operations is a valuable asset.Maintenance of documentation, operational guidelines, and metrics for DAM program effectiveness is crucial.Supporting internal and external audits by providing evidence of DAM controls and activity logs is essential.Participation in broader security initiatives including vulnerability management, encryption, identity management, and network security as needed is desirable.
