Job OverviewThe Art Director will define and own the art vision, style guides, and visual identity for a game or multiple games.They will be responsible for creating concept art, mood boards, key frames, style frames, and reference guides to communicate direction effectively.Key responsibilities include:Contributing to the creation of 2D art through hands-on tasks while providing expert art direction.Leading, mentoring, and managing a team of artists (2D, VFX, UI/UX) - including hiring, performance reviews, and training.Overseeing all art production pipelines, scheduling, and task distribution to ensure timely delivery.Collaborating with game designers, engineers, and product managers to align art with mechanics, UX, monetization, and performance budgets.Reviewing and approving art assets (character models, environments, props, animations, UI, effects) to maintain quality, consistency, and technical feasibility.Optimizing art assets for mobile performance (poly count, draw calls, texture resolution, LODs).Pushing visual innovation: exploring new techniques, shaders, workflows, effects, rendering styles.Ensuring assets adhere to platform constraints (iOS / Android / different hardware tiers).Driving the creation of presentation and marketing materials to communicate the artistic vision to stakeholders and external partners.Conducting regular art reviews and feedback loops, maintaining version control and art documentation.Keeping an eye on industry trends, competitor visuals, and R&D to bring fresh ideas.Required Skills & QualificationsStrong portfolio showcasing expertise in art direction and visual design.Experience leading and mentoring teams, preferably in a gaming industry context.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Knowledge of 2D art creation tools and software.Understanding of art pipelines, scheduling, and task distribution.Familiarity with game development principles and practices.BenefitsA competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for professional growth and development.A collaborative and dynamic work environment.OthersAs an Art Director at our company, you will have the opportunity to shape the visual identity of our games and contribute to their success.
