Full Stack Engineer

Senior Lead Engineer – Full Stack (React / Java) We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with deep experience in designing and building scalable, high-performance systems using Java, Spring Boot, React, and cloud-native architectures. This role will play a key part in driving the technical direction for our modern eCommerce platform, helping to shape system architecture, streamline distributed workflows, and lead the development of robust, enterprise-grade solutions. You’ll work closely with engineering, product, and design teams to deliver highly responsive, secure, and maintainable applications. We’re seeking someone who can operate both strategically and hands-on — someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves to solve hard problems, while also influencing long-term platform decisions.What You’ll Be Doing:Provide technical leadership and oversee the daily operations of the engineering team.Drive the development, execution, and alignment of software strategies with business goals.Inspire innovation by introducing and fostering adoption of new tools, technologies, and approaches.Ensure adherence to engineering standards, security, and industry best practices.Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance full-stack applications, leveraging Java (Spring Boot) on the backend and React with TypeScript on the frontend.Define and implement architecture patterns for distributed systems, focusing on scalability, resiliency, and long-term maintainability.Design, build, and optimize RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven integrations using messaging platforms such as Kafka, Solace, or Azure Event Hub.Partner with Product and UX teams to transform requirements into robust, user-centered technical solutions.Champion engineering excellence through code reviews, CI/CD practices, automated testing, and performance optimization.Mentor and guide engineers, cultivating a culture of technical growth, ownership, and continuous improvement.Actively participate in architecture reviews, system design discussions, and capacity planning to shape the platform’s evolution.What You Bring to the Table:Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, and React / TypeScript in production systemsDeep understanding of system design principles, distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud-native patternsExperience integrating with event-driven architectures using Kafka, Solace, or similarStrong knowledge of API security, identity management, and performance tuningExposure to relational (MySQL) and NoSQL (Couchbase, MongoDB, etc.) databasesComfort working in Agile environments, collaborating across teams, and influencing stakeholdersAbility to balance hands-on development with architectural decision-makingBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)10+ years of full stack development experience with emphasis on Java, Spring Boot, and React6+ years designing distributed, event-driven systemsHands-on experience working in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP)Proficiency with microservices, REST APIs, message queues, and streaming technologiesStrong background in CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, DevOps practices, and performance optimization.Experience with database technologies, both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make strategic architectural decisions balancing business and technical needs.Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with experience guiding engineering teams and influencing stakeholders
