Accounting Professional WantedWe are seeking a skilled accounting professional to join our team as a full-time bookkeeper. This is a remote opportunity that requires strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and Xero expertise.The ideal candidate will have 2-3+ years of experience in bookkeeping, be proficient in Xero, and hold AAT qualifications or a recognised UK bookkeeping course. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential for this role.Key Responsibilities:Daily bookkeeping using Xero, including recording and categorising expenses, petty cash, and receiptsRaising and generating invoices and ensuring correct reconciliationLinking and reconciling bank feeds, Stripe, PayPal, and other platformsAttaching invoices and documents to Xero entries with accurate referencesEnsuring all referencing is clear and traceable - from software to bank and vice versaManaging the invoice process from creation to tracking and paymentRegularly reconciling transactions to keep books up to dateEnsuring compliance with UK financial regulations and HMRC guidelinesKeeping digital finance files tidy and accessibleSupporting accountant as needed for VAT, year-end, and reportingRequirements:Strong knowledge of UK tax rules, expense categories, and accounting standardsFully proficient in Xero (including reconciliation, bank feed setup, invoice attachment, etc.)AAT qualified or completed a recognised UK bookkeeping course2-3+ years of experience in bookkeeping (UK-based work preferred)Excellent organisational, accuracy, and communication skillsWhat We Offer:Full-time, remote role (40 hours/week)Ongoing support, training, and developmentCalm, supportive team with clear systemsOpportunity to grow into a senior finance role over timeTo apply, please submit your CV and a short paragraph (3-5 lines) on your experience with UK bookkeeping + Xero to hello@premierjobhub.co.uk.
