Role Description:


The Electrical CAD Designer will be a part of a multi-disciplinary design/drafting services team responsible for executing various design/drafting projects and tasks to assist our manufacturing sites worldwide. This role primarily collaborates with Plant Engineering, Engineering Services & Solutions, and Capital Projects Teams. The focus of the position is to create and review Electrical and Instrumentation design drawings using 2D CAD systems.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Work collaboratively with remote team members to develop deliverables required for E&I engineering drawings.

2. Perform 2D drafting using MicroStation/AutoCAD.

3. Conduct quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) of 2D drawings, including single line diagrams, schematic diagrams, GA's, panel drawings, cable routing drawings, loop diagrams, connection diagrams, etc.

4. Review and incorporate redlines and identify areas for improvement in Electrical and Instrumentation design and drafting.

5. Occasional support may be required for 3D modeling using AVEVA E3D/PDMS


Basic Qualifications:


1. Bachelor's or Diploma degree in Electrical Engineering is must to have.

2. Minimum 2-5 years of experience in an Engineering and/or Engineering Services organization.

3. Preference given to candidates with experience in Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Petrochemicals, or EPC organizations.

4. Proficient knowledge of electrical and instrumentation symbology, terminology, and drawings.

5. Hands-on experience with QA/QC activities on Electrical & Instrumentation drawings.

6. Proficiency in CAD tools: MicroStation/AutoCAD (preferred) and familiarity with AVEVA E3D/PDMS is advantageous.

7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

8. Strong written, listening, and verbal communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:


1. Experience with AVEVA E3D/PDMS 3D modeling software.

2. Familiarity with other relevant CAD software.

3. Additional certifications or training related to electrical and instrumentation design.
