Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, performing audits, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The Accountant will play a key role in financial planning, preparing reports, and supporting the company’s financial health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and payroll.
- Prepare budget forecasts and monitor company expenditures against budgets.
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Conduct regular audits to ensure the accuracy of financial records and compliance with tax laws.
- Prepare tax filings and ensure timely submission of all tax documents, including corporate tax returns.
- Analyze financial performance and forecast future financial positions, providing strategic recommendations.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Develop and implement internal accounting policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency.
- Assist with the development of financial strategies by providing accurate financial analysis.
- Support external audits by providing necessary financial documentation and reports.
- Stay updated with changes in tax laws and accounting standards and ensure compliance with them.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as an Accountant or in a relevant accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including GAAP.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close processes.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide financial insights and recommendations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
