Together we can achieve great things.Job Title: Staff Platform EngineerLocation: BangaloreBusiness & Team: CSTImpact & contribution: Reduce the deployment time of model by utilising advance tools and technology. In this role you'll assist execution of strategic initiatives to improve team effectiveness and performance.Reporting lines: Reports to Senior ManagerRoles & Responsibilities:Passionate about Cloud/DevOps/Automation and thrive on solving complex problems and opportunities in a systematic approach.Undertake solution design and engineering of reusable IT services, to provide business value across multiple programmes and initiatives.Practice engineering principles, patterns, standards and guidelines across projects and programmes.Analyse a wide range of technical data within systems and processes, to anticipate and address problems, or identify improvement opportunities.Identify and mitigate issues or risks associated with design or solution proposals.Advise on approach to service engineering and solution design, recommending alternative approaches where required.Software development according to program specifications and as directed.Essential Skills: years of practical, hands-on industry experience in a similar role.Experience with AWS, particularly CloudFormation.Building & optimising Docker containersEnabling CI/CD practices.Experience with CI/CD tooling (Git, TeamCity, Artifactory, Octopus, Jenkins, ArgoCD, etc.) or equivalent.Developing Kubernetes application solutions.Experience with Infrastructure as Code practices and principles.Automating repetitive tasks using Python, Ansible, shell scripting, etc.Experience decomposing complex problems down into manageable components.Reviewing proposed code changes and recommending alterations.Able and willing to participate in hands-on configuration activities.Education Qualification:Bachelor's degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology If you're already part of the Commonwealth Bank Group (including Bankwest, x15ventures), you'll need to apply through Sidekick to submit a valid application.
