Database Management ProfessionalThe ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of Oracle databases across various versions (including Oracle 12c/19c/21c). They should have experience working in high-availability environments and demonstrate strong skills in automation, security, and compliance.Perform regular maintenance tasks to ensure optimal database performance.Monitor database activity and implement proactive tuning strategies.Manage backup and recovery processes using RMAN and Oracle Recovery Manager strategies.Develop and implement best practices and automation initiatives to improve database efficiency.Lead database migration projects (on-prem to cloud / version upgrades) to minimize downtime.Required Skills and QualificationsProficient in RMAN backup and recovery strategies for maximum data integrity.Strong knowledge of Oracle Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery solutions.Hands-on experience in performance tuning and query optimization techniques.Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and management of complex database systems.Expertise in patching, upgrades, and database cloning processes.Solid understanding of Unix/Linux system administration related to Oracle database management.Proficiency in writing complex PL/SQL scripts and shell scripting for automation purposes.Experience in handling large-scale database environments (multi-TB).Excellent communication skills with both technical and management teams.Preferred Skills and QualificationsExposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Autonomous Databases for innovative solutions.Experience with GoldenGate or other replication tools for seamless data transfer.Knowledge of PostgreSQL or MySQL and Mongo DB administration for diverse database management.Experience in database security auditing and compliance procedures.Familiarity with Ansible, Terraform, or other IaC tools for database deployment automation.Exposure to containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) in relation to database management.Oracle certifications (e.g., OCP, OCM) are a significant asset.Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management procedures for effective project execution.
