ACL explores high-risk approaches, pioneering technologies, and novel methods to accelerate KLA's algorithms and contribute to KLA's HPC technology roadmap. Located out of the IIT Madras Research Park in Chennai, India, we engage leading thinkers in academia, industry and KLA's business units to create innovative parallel computing methods to enable KLA's business growth.Job Description/Preferred QualificationsExpected BackgroundNew/recent College graduates in Ph.D, MS in EE/CS/CSE. Bachelors graduates will also be considered with exceptional background and prior experience.Hands-on experience with GPU programming using CUDA, OpenCL or SYCL, and modern CPU programming constructs such as those in C++-14 / C++-17/C++-20Exposure to profiling tools such as NSIGHT or VTUNEStrong foundation in computer architecture, with interest in high performance parallel processing at the device level (GPUs or CPUs/SIMD)Strong mental model of computational loads and ideas on how to map different algorithms to parallel architecturesSelf motivation and a desire to learnBonus SkillsPrevious experience or a curiosity to learn solution techniques for solving computational physics problems using modern HPCExperience with large-scale distributed HPC systemsFamiliarity with HPC frameworks like TensorFlow, JAX, Open AI Triton etc.Minimum QualificationsNew/recent College graduates in Ph.D, MS in EE/CS/CSE.
