Artificial Intelligence SpecialistWe are seeking an experienced Artificial Intelligence Engineer to fill this critical role.The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of hands-on experience in developing GenAI applications and be proficient in Python 3.11, including typing, asyncio, packaging, testing with pytest, profiling, and CI/CD.The successful candidate will also have production experience with at least one agent framework, preferably Semantic Kernel, and expertise in tool and function calling, schema design, argument validation, and multi-step planning.In addition, they should have retrieval systems experience with vector stores and hybrid search, familiarity with grounding strategies and retrieval evaluation, and cloud deployment experience with containers, secrets, and identity, networking, monitoring, and alerting.The role requires strong observability and evaluation proficiency, including tracing, metrics, log aggregation, experiment design, and promotion criteria, as well as security and safety fundamentals, such as prompt injection defenses, content policy enforcement, tool sandboxing, and PII handling.The successful candidate will also have excellent technical communication and collaborative code review skills.Key Responsibilities:Implement agentic workflows in Python using an agent frameworkBuild reliable tool and function calling flowsDevelop retrieval pipelines for RAG and hybrid searchShip agents to productionInstrument applicationsEstablish evaluation workflowsRequirements:4-5 years of hands-on GenAI application experienceStrong Python 3.11 skillsProduction experience with at least one agent frameworkExpertise in tool and function calling, schema design, argument validation, and multi-step planningRetrieval systems experience with vector stores and hybrid searchCloud deployment experience with containers, secrets, and identity, networking, monitoring, and alertingObservability and evaluation proficiencySecurity and safety fundamentalsBonus Requirements:Mult-agent patterns such as task decomposition, coordinator worker, and human in the loopDeeper Azure experience including Azure AI Search and related AI platform servicesEvaluation depth with regression suites, red teaming, and data-driven guardrailsSearch and data store depth with Elasticsearch, Pinecone, pgvector, or Azure AI Search
