Key Responsibilities:Database Administration:Maintain and optimize Vector databases in production environments.Monitor database performance, availability and implement backup strategies for disaster recovery and operational continuity.Data Operations:Support ingestion and indexing of vector data for Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) applications.Optimize storage and query performance using Storage Attached Indexing and vector search capabilities.Collaborate with data engineering teams to design and maintain schemas and collections.Security & Compliance:Ensure database security through role-based access control, encryption, and audit logging.Maintain compliance with internal and external data governance policies.Automation & Integration:Automate operational tasks using APIs and CI/CD pipelines.Integrate Vector databases with AI platforms (e.g., OpenAI, Vertex AI) and developer tools (e.g., GitHub, Vercel).Support & Troubleshooting:Provide production support, including incident response and root cause analysis.Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues.Qualifications:Proven experience as a DBA in production environments, preferably with NoSQL or distributed databases.Familiarity with GenAI use cases, semantic search, and vector embeddings.Proficiency in scripting languages for automation and data operations.Strong understanding of database security, performance tuning, and monitoring.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
