Job TitleWe are seeking a skilled professional to manage, optimize and automate various functions of our SolarWinds platform.About the Role: This position plays a critical part in ensuring observability, performance monitoring, and automation across our global infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:Administer and Maintain SolarWinds Platform:Administer and maintain the SolarWinds Orion platform, including NPM, NCM, SAM, VNQM, and other modules.Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automating SolarWinds tasks such as: Node onboarding/offboarding, Alert suppression or muting during maintenance windows, Custom alert/report generation and distribution, SolarWinds–ServiceNow integration enhancements.Implement Automation Solutions:Implement custom monitoring logic, automated diagnostics, and integrations via Orion API, SWIS, and REST endpoints.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand automation needs and deliver solutions that support observability workflows.Manage Custom Pollers and SNMP Configurations:Build tools and utilities to support monitoring self-service, reporting automation, and configuration validation.Manage custom Pollers, SNMP configurations, and agentless/agent-based monitoring across multi-vendor environments.Maintain Security Posture:Design and optimize SWQL and SQL queries to support reports and custom dashboards for tailored views.Configure and maintain alert logic, escalation policies, and notification integrations (e.g., with ServiceNow, email, Teams).Participate in incident triage and root cause analysis, leveraging SolarWinds logs and metrics.Required Skills & Experience:5+ years of hands-on experience managing SolarWinds environments (Orion Platform 2020.2.6 or newer).3+ years of PowerShell development experience focused on infrastructure and monitoring automation.Strong experience with Orion SDK, SWQL Studio, and SolarWinds API integrations.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Exposure to event-driven automation, such as responding to alerts with corrective actions.Past work automating SolarWinds alert tuning, configuration, or compliance reporting.BENEFITS AND PERKSThis role offers a challenging opportunity to contribute to the success of our organization.SAFETY FIRSTWe prioritize the safety and well-being of our employees.CERTIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENTThe successful candidate will be expected to obtain relevant certifications and participate in ongoing training and professional development.
