Contract Analyst

We’re Hiring: Deal Desk Analyst / Contracts Coordinator Series A SaaS Company Department:  Finance (dotted line to Legal / Outside Counsel) Reports to:  Controller or Head of Finance Works closely with:  Sales Ops, Product, and Outside Counsel Role Summary We’re looking for a Deal Desk Analyst / Contracts Coordinator to manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle in a fast-growing Series A SaaS environment. This role sits at the intersection of Sales, Finance, Legal, and Product, ensuring contracts are accurate, compliant, and reflected correctly across systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly agile, and has prior startup experience with commercial contracts. Core Responsibilities Contract Review & Execution Support Review customer contracts (MSAs, Order Forms, Amendments, SOWs) for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to approved templates and playbooks Identify non-standard terms (pricing, term length, termination, indemnity, SLAs, data protection) and escalate to outside counsel or internal stakeholders, including Product for security requirements Coordinate contract revisions and redlines between Sales, Finance, and Legal to support timely deal closure Ensure all executed contracts are finalized, countersigned, and stored in the company’s contract repository Liaison with Outside Counsel Serve as the primary point of coordination with outside legal counsel for contract review and escalations Prepare clean, complete contract packages with clear business context to minimize legal review cycles and cost Track open legal issues, counsel feedback, and resolution through closure Support refinement of contract templates and fallback language over time Ensure deals align with company policies, risk standards, and revenue guidelines and highlight risks or anomalies Bookings, ARR & Contract Data Integrity Ensure contract terms are accurately reflected in CRM and billing systems, including: Subscription start and end dates Contract value and pricing structure Billing cadence (monthly, annual, prepaid) Auto-renewal and termination terms Validate that booked ARR aligns precisely with executed contract terms and approved pricing Partner with Sales Ops and Finance to resolve discrepancies between signed contracts and system records Revenue Recognition & Audit Support Support Finance with accurate contract details for revenue recognition Maintain proper documentation, clarifications, and issue resolutions Assist with audit and diligence queries when required Process Improvement & Scale Readiness Help design and improve contract intake, review, and approval workflows suitable for a scaling SaaS company Identify recurring contract issues and recommend standardization or automation opportunities Contribute to internal contract playbooks and approval matrices Support implementation and optimization of Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools Qualifications & Experience Required 3–5 years of experience in contracts coordination, sales operations, legal operations, or finance operations Prior experience in a startup or high-growth SaaS environment Working familiarity with commercial SaaS contracts (MSAs, Order Forms, Amendments) Strong understanding of ARR, bookings, and subscription-based business models High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deals and deadlines Comfortable interfacing with outside legal counsel and internal executives Preferred Experience working with CRM and billing systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, NetSuite, Stripe) Experience supporting audits or diligence processes Paralegal background or prior legal operations experience
