ETL Tester Job DescriptionWe are seeking a meticulous and proactive ETL Tester to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of data pipelines built on Google Cloud Platform.This role involves validating ETL workflows, reconciling data across systems, and collaborating with developers and business stakeholders to uphold data quality standards.The ideal candidate will have experience in designing test strategies, creating reusable test assets, and automating validation processes.Key Responsibilities:Design and implement comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for ETL pipelinesCreate and maintain test certificates and validation documentation for audit and compliance purposesPerform data reconciliation and validation checks across multiple systems and sourcesCollaborate with developers to identify and resolve data mismatches and transformation issuesAutomate test execution using scripting tools and frameworksConduct regression, integration, and performance testing for data workflowsDocument defects and track resolution through version control and issue tracking systemsSupport UAT and production validation efforts with business stakeholdersRequired Skills & Qualifications:Strong experience in ETL testing and data validationProficiency in SQL and Google BigQuery for data analysis and test designFamiliarity with Python or other scripting languages for test automationUnderstanding of Apache Airflow and ETL orchestration toolsExperience with GitHub or similar tools for version control and collaborationExcellent attention to detail and analytical thinkingStrong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teamsNice to Have:Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesExperience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCPFamiliarity with data warehousing and data governance principles
