Job DescriptionThe SAP ABAP Advance role requires the expertise of an experienced workflow consultant.Key responsibilities include customizing workflows to meet business process requirements, determining agent assignments and event triggers. The consultant will develop and maintain ABAP programs, including reports, SmartForms, SAP Scripts, and user exits.They will also monitor and troubleshoot workflow errors and event logs, reprocess error workflows, manage agent assignments, and set up substitutes. Furthermore, they will activate/deactivate workflows and ensure proper authorization for users and background jobs.A critical aspect of this role is collaboration with functional teams to ensure seamless integration of workflows with SAP modules such as MM SD FICO. Unit testing, integration testing, and support for UAT phases are essential tasks.Performance tuning of ABAP programs and workflows is a crucial task, along with analyzing dumps and exceptions to ensure smooth execution.Documentation support includes preparing technical specifications, functional documentation, and training materials. Providing consulting support for new initiatives and mentoring junior developers is also part of the job.
