Snowflake Data Platform Manager JobAs a key member of our data management team, we are seeking an experienced Snowflake administrator to oversee the entire lifecycle of our Snowflake data platform.We need someone with expertise in managing and administering Snowflake environments, including warehouses, databases, schemas, stages, file formats, and pipes.The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing account-level settings, parameter configurations, and global policies to ensure seamless data operations.User Management & Access ControlWe require someone who can create, modify, and manage users, roles, and permissions following best practices for Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).This includes implementing secure access controls aligned with data governance policies and ensuring compliance with industry standards.Data Security & GovernanceThe ideal candidate will have experience implementing Snowflake security features such as masking policies, row-access policies, encryption, OAuth, SSO, and MFA.They will also ensure that all data handling processes adhere to company and industry security standards.Query Performance OptimizationWe need someone who can monitor query performance and troubleshoot slow-running queries to optimize virtual warehouse sizes, auto-suspend, and auto-resume settings.This includes working closely with data engineers to support Snowpipe configurations, streams, tasks, internal and external stages, ETL/ELT integrations, ingestion frameworks, and data flow health monitoring.Cost Management & OptimizationThe successful candidate will track and optimize compute and storage costs by implementing usage monitoring dashboards and alerts.They will also maintain documentation of platform configurations, standards, and processes, and develop SOPs for user management, cost controls, access requests, and query optimization.Maintenance & SupportOur ideal candidate will perform daily monitoring of Snowflake logs, warehouse consumption, and system health.They will troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate with the engineering team for resolutions.Collaboration & CommunicationWe require someone who can work closely with BI/Analytics, Data Engineering, DevOps, and IT security teams.They will participate in architecture discussions and support the scaling of data platforms.
