Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Key Responsibilities:Oversight of full-cycle multi-state payroll processing for salaried and hourly employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant laws.Timely resolution of payroll inquiries and discrepancies; maintenance of payroll FAQs and knowledge base resources.Collaboration with HR Service Delivery teams on employee data updates related to compensation, benefits, and employment status changes.Preparation, reconciliation, and submission of payroll tax filings (941, state/local) and leadership in year-end processes including W-2 and 1095-C coordination.Reconciliation of payroll general ledger entries; support for month-end close, financial reporting, and internal/external audits.Required Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.Five years of experience in payroll administration and benefits coordination, preferably managing multi-state payroll in a professional services environment.Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations, including FMLA, COBRA, and state/local payroll compliance.Experience with payroll GL reconciliations, audits, and year-end processing.Proficiency in MS Office Suite and intermediate to advanced Excel skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with various levels of the organization.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Benefits:Our team offers a dynamic and supportive work environment, with opportunities for growth and development.
