SOX Manager

SOX Manager / Senior Consultant with experience in implementation and monitoring of the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance programs. This role involves supporting Client’s managements with SOX documentation and testing, assessing the effectiveness, conducting risk assessments, providing regulatory updates. Also driving continuous improvement in internal control processes including the automation of controls.

Key Responsibilities:

Control testing, including evaluating design and operational effectiveness. Review and update control documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with SOX requirements.

Internal Control Evaluation:

o   Assess the design and operating effectiveness of ICFR. Provide recommendations for process improvements.

Audit Coordination & Liaison:

o   Liaison between the internal audit function, external auditors including responding to inquiries and providing requested documentation.

Continuous Improvement:

o   Ensuring that the Clients compliance program remains up to date with PCAOB requirements.

o   Recommend process improvements and efficiencies to enhance the SOX compliance programs including the automation of controls.

o   Development of tools or technologies to streamline compliance processes and testing procedures.

Reporting & Documentation:

o   Prepare and present regular status updates and reports on SOX compliance efforts to Client management.

Education:

o   B. Com

o   CA or other relevant professional certifications preferred.

Experience:

o   Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in internal audit, SOX compliance, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

o   Experience with the design, implementation, and testing of internal controls under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

o   Experience working with external auditors.

o   Understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.

Skills:

o   Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

o   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with client teams remotely.

o   Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other auditing and compliance tools (e.g., TeamMate, Workiva, SAP, Oracle).
