Software Requirements:
Proficiency in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.
Strong understanding of Tableau administration and platform architecture.
Experience with data preparation and data blending tools.
Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.
Experience with other data visualization and BI tools is a plus.
Overall Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain Tableau visualizations and dashboards that translate data into actionable insights.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide BI solutions.
Ensure the performance and reliability of Tableau reports and dashboards.
Manage Tableau Server activities including user access, content administration, and data source management.
Conduct training sessions and workshops to improve Tableau skills across the organization.
Categorywise Technical Skills:
Data Analysis and Visualization : Expertise in creating complex graphs and charts using Tableau, understanding of best practices in data visualization, and ability to tell a story through data.
Database and Querying : Strong SQL skills, ability to write complex queries, and experience with database design and data modeling.
Data Warehousing : Understanding of data warehousing concepts, experience with ETL tools, and familiarity with data integration processes.
Programming and Scripting : Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R for data manipulation is beneficial.
Performance Tuning : Ability to optimize dashboards and data sources for performance.
Experience:
Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in data analysis and business intelligence.
Proven track record of developing advanced Tableau dashboards and reports.
Experience in managing Tableau Server and working with large datasets.
A portfolio of past work demonstrating expertise in Tableau.
Day-to-Day Activity:
Interpreting data and analyzing results using statistical techniques.
Developing and implementing databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
Developing Tableau dashboards and reports daily.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate systems and data effectively.
Ensuring data accuracy and integrity within reports and databases.
Providing technical support for Tableau users.
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related field.
Tableau Desktop Qualified Associate or Tableau Desktop Certified Professional certification preferred.
Additional certifications in SQL, data warehousing, or other relevant areas are advantageous.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
