Patent Expert Job DescriptionOro Labs is a cutting-edge company shaping the future of enterprise procurement. We are seeking a seasoned patent professional to develop and manage our intellectual property strategy.The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in patent law, IP strategy, or patent management within a technology or SaaS company.A strong grasp of AI, ML, or SaaS platforms, as well as technical expertise in computer science, engineering, or a related field.Proven experience drafting and prosecuting patents globally, with a deep understanding of patent landscapes, prior art searches, and competitive analysis.Ability to align IP initiatives with product and business objectives, and exceptional communication skills to articulate technical concepts to both legal and non-legal audiences.Key Responsibilities:Developing a deep understanding of ORO's technology and product roadmap to identify and protect key innovations.Evaluating R&D outputs and performing IP landscape analyses to uncover patentable opportunities and potential risks.Drafting, filing, and managing patent applications end-to-end, collaborating with product teams, external counsel, and patent offices.Maintaining a structured IP portfolio, ensuring compliance, renewals, and timely filings across jurisdictions.Building internal IP awareness programs and streamlining invention disclosure and review processes.Advising leadership on IP strategy, risk mitigation, and portfolio optimization to support business growth and partnerships.Providing IP insights for due diligence, licensing, and M&A activities while tracking and reporting key patent metrics.What We're Looking For:We seek a skilled and experienced patent professional who combines deep legal knowledge with technical curiosity.
