The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake, DBT, and advanced SQL, along with experience in building scalable ELT pipelines in a modern cloud environment.Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain cloud-scale ELT pipelines using Snowflake, DBT, and SQL.- Build and manage Snowflake objects including databases, schemas, warehouses, stages, tasks, streams, and stored procedures.- Develop and optimize DBT models across staging, intermediate, and mart layers.- Implement data modeling techniques (Star/Snowflake schema) for analytics and reporting.- Create automated data ingestion processes using Snowpipe, S3, Kafka, or other cloud integration tools.- Optimize query performance and warehouse compute costs through Snowflake best practices.- Integrate CI/CD pipelines for DBT projects using Git, dbt Cloud, or DevOps workflows.- Perform extensive data quality checks, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data Analytics, BI, Data Science) to deliver high-quality datasets.- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and access control standards.Required Skills & Qualifications- 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or Snowflake development.- Strong expertise in:- Snowflake features (Time Travel, Clustering, Micro-partitioning, RBAC, Secure Views)- DBT (modeling, macros, tests, documentation)- Advanced SQL (window functions, CTEs, query optimization)- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP (AWS preferred).- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.- Experience working with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and agile environments.- Knowledge of semi-structured data (JSON, Parquet) and REST API integrations.Preferred Skills- Experience with Python or Spark for data processing.- Knowledge of orchestration tools like Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect.- Exposure to data quality frameworks (Soda, Great Expectations).- Professional certifications (SnowPro Core, SnowPro Advanced, AWS/Azure certifications).
