Job Description:As a Data Governance Functional Lead, you will play a crucial role in driving enterprise-level data governance initiatives across multiple business domains.The ideal candidate will have strong functional expertise, exceptional communication skills, and experience in setting up governance councils, policies, and AI governance practices within an enterprise environment.Lead Data Governance Initiatives: Design, implement, and institutionalize data governance frameworks, policies, and processes across business units.Facilitate Business Workshops: Conduct business workshops with enterprise clients to define governance objectives, roles, and ownership models.Establish Governance Council: Help set up and formalize the Data Governance Council — document charters, roles, responsibilities, and governance operating models.Collaborate with Technical Teams: Work with data engineering, architecture, and security teams to implement governance controls using platforms such as Microsoft Purview, Databricks Unity Catalog, and Informatica.Drive AI Governance: Implement and monitor AI governance principles ensuring compliance, ethical AI use, and adherence to organizational policies.Business Alignment: Understand diverse business domains — Real Estate, Retail, E-Commerce, Investment Holding, Hospitality & Entertainment, and Government Entities — to align governance frameworks with business priorities.Compliance & Security: Ensure all governance processes align with Microsoft Security and Compliance Frameworks, regulatory standards, and enterprise risk guidelines.Stakeholder Management: Partner with senior business leaders, data owners, and IT teams to drive governance adoption and maturity.Required Skills and Qualifications:Strong experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or Information Governance within enterprise environments.Proven ability to conduct governance business workshops and translate outcomes into actionable governance models.Experience in establishing and operationalizing governance councils and defining data ownership structures.Hands-on exposure to governance tools and technologies such as Microsoft Purview, Databricks Unity Catalog, and Informatica.Deep understanding of Microsoft's Security and Compliance Framework and its relevance to data governance.Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.Demonstrated experience working across multiple industries such as Real Estate, Retail, E-Commerce, Investment, Hospitality, and Government.Minimum 1 year of experience in AI Governance—understanding how governance principles extend to AI/ML models, data lineage, and responsible AI practices.Ability to bridge functional and technical aspects of governance and influence cross-functional teams.Benefits:At Delphi, we are dedicated to creating an environment where you can thrive, both professionally and personally.Our competitive compensation package, health benefits, company-sponsored certifications, training programs, and skill-building opportunities are designed to ensure your growth and success.We foster a culture of inclusivity and support, with remote work options and a fully supported work-from-home setup to ensure your comfort and productivity.Our positive and inclusive culture includes team activities, wellness and mental health programs to ensure you feel supported.
