Job Title: Planning Engineer

Job Summary: As a Planning Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the successful execution and completion of projects by managing and coordinating all aspects of project scheduling, resource planning, and progress tracking. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that projects are completed within the set timelines, budget, and quality standards. You will be involved in preparing detailed project schedules, managing resources, identifying potential risks, and providing critical updates to stakeholders.


Responsibility:-


Core Area 1: Objective


Schedule Preparation: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules at both macro and micro levels, ensuring alignment with project timelines.

Work Breakdown Structure (WBS): Create and manage WBS to break down projects into manageable tasks and sub-tasks.

Resource and Logistics Planning: Plan resources, logistics, and material management to support project execution.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks and uncertainties that could impact project progress, and develop mitigation strategies.

SMARTAPP Management: Utilize SMARTAPP for scheduling, activity assignment, dispatching, and tracking project activities.

Project Reporting: Provide regular project status updates, progress reports, and highlight any issues or hindrances.

Performance Evaluation: Assess project performance, identify areas for improvement, and recommend corrective actions.

Cash Flow Preparation: Prepare cash flows by integrating cost data into project schedules.

Issue Resolution: Address and resolve queries and issues to ensure smooth project execution.


Core Area 2: Responsibility


Progress Reporting: Prepare and deliver monthly progress reports, update site status, trackers, and set weekly targets with corresponding action plans.

Detailed Scheduling: Develop comprehensive project schedules, including task sequencing and adherence to timelines.

Coordination: Collaborate with project managers and teams to allocate resources effectively and enhance site progress within the stipulated timeframe.

Documentation and Reporting: Provide required documents to the Head of Department (HOD) regarding project status and areas needing improvement.

SMARTAPP Implementation: Ensure full utilization of SMARTAPP for project control, activity assignment, and vendor progress updates.


Core Area 3: Accountability


Schedule Management: Prepare schedules considering all factors such as timelines, milestones, cash flows, and resource allocation.

Tracking and Monitoring: Monitor and track project schedules to ensure adherence to planned timelines.

Documentation Formats: Prepare and circulate formats for Daily Log Reports (DLR), Monthly Progress Reports (MPR), Drawing Registers, and Hindrance Registers.

SMARTAPP Utilization: Ensure effective use of SMARTAPP and resolve related queries.

Department Coordination: Coordinate with all relevant departments to ensure timely project completion.



Qualifications and Skills:-


M-Tech Civil Engineer

Proven experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably in a similar industry.

Proficiency in project management software and tools, including SMARTAPP.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
