Job DescriptionWe are seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of data solutions using AWS and Snowflake. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.You will develop and maintain data pipelines, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security. Additionally, you will optimize data storage and retrieval processes to support data warehousing and analytics. Your technical leadership and mentorship skills will enable junior data engineers to grow and succeed in their roles.You will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data-driven insights. Ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices in data engineering is also a crucial aspect of this role.Required Skills and Qualifications8+ years of relevant experience in Data Engineering and delivery8+ years of relevant work experience in Big Data Concepts, with a focus on cloud implementationsStrong experience with SQL, Python, and PysparkGood understanding of Data ingestion and data processing frameworksGood experience in Snowflake, SQL, AWS (glue, EMR, S3, Aurora, RDS, AWS architecture)Good aptitude, strong problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and ability to take ownership as appropriateBenefitsExperience working in Agile MethodologyAbility to do coding, debugging, performance tuning, and deploying apps to production environmentOthersBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fieldProven experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on AWS and SnowflakeStrong understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practicesExcellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersExperience in the insurance industry, preferably with knowledge of claims and loss processesProficiency in SQL, Python, and other relevant programming languagesStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
