Job TitleAchieve Your Potential as a Data Platform EngineerAbout the RoleThis is an exceptional opportunity to join our team of talented engineers and contribute to the development of a cutting-edge data platform. As a Data Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and operating our foundational data-heavy services. This includes managing cloud data warehouses, data lakes, orchestration tools, batch processing systems, streaming services, query federation, caching, time-series databases, graph databases, and real-time event aggregation stores.You will also be working closely with internal services and product teams to design and build self-service applications that empower users to manage and troubleshoot their own data pipelines. Additionally, you will be involved in the design and implementation of services for end-to-end data security and data observability, including access control management, data quality tracking, dataset cataloging, and usage auditing.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement scalable data processing systems using distributed computing frameworks such as Apache Spark and SQL.Develop and maintain data integration and process SDKs for use by internal services and product teams.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement self-service applications that provide users with easy-to-use interfaces for managing and troubleshooting their data pipelines.Work on developing services for end-to-end data security and data observability, including access control management, data quality tracking, dataset cataloging, and usage auditing.RequirementsStrong background in software engineering with at least 5+ years of experience.Excellent programming skills in languages such as Python, Go, or Java.General experience working with data systems or data pipelines.Familiarity with design patterns such as scale-out, caching, key/value, and columnar.Ability to analyze data for operational insights using SQL, Python, Airflow, and BI expertise.Nice to HaveCrypto-forward experience, including familiarity with on-chain activity such as interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and engaging with dApps or blockchain-based services.
