About the RoleThe Demi Chef de Partie is responsible for preparing all items required for daily Menus and special events as instructed by Senior Sous Chefs.Key Responsibilities include:To follow Menu plans and daily preparations as instructed by the Supervisor.To ensure products are prepared according to high standards.To maintain a professional demeanor, even under pressure, and utilize knowledge of Cruise Basics.To conduct oneself in a professional manner, including interactions with fellow employees and/or guests.To attend meetings, training activities, courses and work-related activities as required.To record work and rest hours on the crew portal.To perform operational duties as required.This role description outlines key responsibilities but may not be an exhaustive list. The employee may be required to perform other job-related duties as assigned by their supervisor or management.Requirements include:Cruise Culinary Academy certification in the Philippines.Professional Chef Certification or equivalent experience.Minimum 3 years' experience in a luxury hotel property as a Cook/Chef de Partie or 2 years in the luxury cruise ship industry as a Cook/Chef de Partie.Very good spoken English language skills.Good communication and organizational skills.STCW certification as mandated by the International Maritime Organization (IMO).A valid Cruises approved Pre-Employment Medical Examination (PEME) declaring the crew member fit for shipboard duty.A service-minded personality with an outgoing, charming, and friendly attitude.Desirable Skills include:Strong culinary knowledge and skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.Preferred Qualifications include:Experience in luxury cruise lines.Knowledge of international cuisines.C1D Visa.We are committed to diversity and inclusivity in the workplace, ensuring equal opportunity for all employees and applicants.
