Role Description

The Head of Accounts will oversee all financial and accounting operations at Brick2Wall's corporate and individual company levels, ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting of financial statements. This role involves managing a team of accountants, ensuring robust financial controls, budgeting, and providing strategic insights to the leadership team. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent financial acumen, and the ability to develop efficient systems and processes to enhance the organization’s financial health.


Key Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping & Financial Management:

  • Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
  • Review and approve all financial transactions, including bank reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements.
  • Ensure proper accounting for fixed assets, depreciation, and financial reporting of capital expenditures.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for the management team.

Audit & Tax Compliance:

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure the accuracy of financial records and the integrity of financial data.
  • Lead statutory and internal audits, ensuring timely closure and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Ensure adherence to all accounting, tax, and financial laws.
  • Ensure timely payment of all taxes and submission of statutory returns, including GST, TDS, PF, and Income tax returns.

Strategic Financial Oversight:

  • Provide insights for financial planning and analysis to support organizational goals.
  • Coordinate and manage the preparation of the company's budget, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
  • Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures to minimize risk and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and lead the preparation of financial reports for investors, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
  • Drive the improvement and automation of accounting systems and processes to increase efficiency.

Team Leadership & Coordination:

  • Lead and mentor the accounts team to maintain high levels of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support operational and financial objectives.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutions.
  • Lead the development and training of the accounting team, fostering a culture of growth and continuous improvement.


Requirements:

  • CA qualification is 1st or 2nd attempt is a must. CS is good to have.
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in accounting and finance, with at 5+ years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian accounting standards, tax laws (GST, TDS, Income Tax), and financial regulations.
  • Strong experience with accounting software (Tally, SAP, or similar) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify financial risks and opportunities.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams, with a focus on performance and results.
  • Attention to detail and high standards of accuracy in all financial reporting.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple priorities.
  • Proven stable professional contour exhibiting positions of responsibility.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
