We’re looking for an experienced PHP Lead with deep expertise in the CodeIgniter framework to join our fast-paced, dynamic team. In this role, you’ll lead by example—building, maintaining, and optimizing robust, scalable, and secure web applications. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional features and functionalities across a variety of projects, ensuring seamless performance and top-notch user experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize web applications using PHP and the CodeIgniter framework.
- Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end teams with server-side logic.
- Design, implement, and optimize database schemas for superior performance and reliability.
- Write clean, efficient, and reusable code, following industry best practices.
- Troubleshoot, test, and maintain core software components to ensure optimal functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (designers, product managers, QA) to define, design, and deliver new features.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services to enhance application capabilities.
- Conduct code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members.
- Ensure all applications meet performance benchmarks, security standards, and compliance requirements.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of professional PHP development experience.
- Strong proficiency with the CodeIgniter framework.
- Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., MySQL).
- Proficient in front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX).
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Strong grasp of MVC architecture and OOP principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of web security practices.
- Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, React) is a plus.
- Prior experience with unit testing and TDD methodologies.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
