Job Description:

We are looking for a talented Android Developer to join our team. As an Android Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance mobile applications for the Android platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver user-friendly applications that offer a seamless and engaging user experience.Key Responsibilities:

  • Android Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java.
  • Performance Optimization: Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications by optimizing code and resolving bottlenecks.
  • Testing & Debugging: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Debug and resolve issues while writing and running unit and UI tests to ensure app reliability.
  • Continuous Integration: Participate in continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) to automate building, testing, and deploying Android apps.
  • Collaboration: Work in a collaborative team environment with product managers, designers, and other developers to ship new features and improve existing ones.

Required Skills:

  • Android Development: Looking for 6 -11 years of strong experience with Kotlin and/or Java for Android app development.
  • Jetpack Components: Familiarity with Android Jetpack components like Jetpack Compose, LiveData, ViewModel, Room, DataStore, Navigation and WorkManager.
  • Coroutines: In-depth understanding of how the coroutines work, coroutine builders (like launch and async-await), Job/supervisorJob, CoroutineScope, CoroutineContext.
  • Architecture: Understanding of architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVP, Clean Architecture (with S.O.L.I.D Principles) for organizing Android projects.
  • Third-Party Libraries: Knowledge of common Android libraries like Dagger, Hilt, Retrofit/Ktor, Glide/Coil/Picasso, and Firebase for push notifications and analytics.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitHub Actions.
  • Performance Profiling: Familiarity with performance profiling tools such as Android Profiler and LeakCanary for optimizing memory usage and app performance.
  • Testing: Knowledge of automated testing frameworks like JUnit, Espresso, Robolectric, Mockito/MockK.
