Our vision is to be a one stop export house for brands across the world by having a strong both in house design and production team Role Description This is a Full-time role as a Product Merchandiser and Designer of fashion accessories at SILVER MELON PRIVATE LIMITED, located in Kolkata Leather Complex, Bantala, with flexibility for some remote work from our office in Central Kolkata. The Product Merchandiser and Designer of fashion accessories will be responsible for identifying market trends and designing products that meet customer demands along with working with sample department for supervising the product developments. The role also includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of new developments that are visually appealing, innovative and matches buyer's specifications. Must have knowledge of different materials- leather, PU, Cotton Canvas, Textiles, Nylon, Raffia, Hemp Fibre, Straw etc Qualifications Bachelor's degree in fashion merchandising, design or a related field from NIFT, FDDI or similar 5+ years of experience in product merchandising and designing of fashion accessories in an export house Demonstrated ability to identify market trends and translate them into successful product designs Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator Excellent communication skills, ability to work collaboratively with cross-function teams, including product management, sourcing, and marketing, pattern master and sample man. Knowledge of various material technologies related to fashion accessories A strong portfolio that showcases design skills, product knowledge, and innovation.
