Job Opportunity:The role of Assistant Manager Construction Accounting encompasses overseeing and managing the financial accounting functions within an organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining fiscal discipline, and supporting construction project success.This position requires a deep understanding of construction accounting principles, financial management, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have worked in construction accounting/contractor accounting, with knowledge of % completion method of accounting and experience working on project profitability.Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.Prepare and analyse monthly and quarterly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Manage the yearly audit and tax compliance process, ensuring all information is complete, accurate, and available for tax preparers and auditors.Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensuring control over actual expenses vs budget and participating in cash management and forecasting.Provide management with information vital to decision-making, overseeing the use of Yardi, an integrated property and accounting software system.Required Skills and Qualifications:Expertise in construction accounting principles, including financial management and compliance.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Experience working with integrated property and accounting software systems, such as Yardi.Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Benefits:This role offers a competitive compensation package, including opportunities for professional growth and development.
