About This RoleWe're looking for a skilled Cloud Data Engineer to design, develop, and deploy scalable data processing solutions on Google Cloud Platform.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and deploy data pipelines using Java 17+ and Apache Beam on GCP Cloud Dataflow.Build and manage orchestration workflows using Apache Airflow or GCP Cloud Composer, including creating and maintaining DAGs.Work extensively with GCP Big Data services such as BigQuery, BigTable, Cloud SQL, and Google Cloud Storage for data ingestion, transformation, storage, and optimization.Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data retrieval and analysis within BigQuery and Cloud SQL.Maintain high standards of code quality, testing, documentation, and best practices.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust cloud solutions.Mandatory SkillsStrong knowledge of GCPJava 17+ development experienceHands-on experience with Cloud Dataflow (Apache Beam programming)Experience in Airflow/Cloud Composer for creating and managing DAGsProficiency in GCP Big Data services:BigQueryBigTableGCSCloud SQLStrong SQL skillsOptional / Good-to-Have SkillsExperience with GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine)Understanding of IAM (Identity and Access Management)Exposure to Cloud SpannerExperience developing secure API endpointsKnowledge of containerization and microservices
