Job OverviewMainframe Software EngineerThis role is responsible for the development, enhancement, and maintenance of applications on IBM z/OS using Assembler, C, JCL, REXX, and related technologies.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain applications on IBM z/OS platforms using various programming languages such as Assembler, C, JCL, and REXX.Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and production support.Optimize application performance, troubleshoot defects, and ensure system reliability and uptime.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and resolve technical issues.Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation, adhere to coding standards, and develop operational procedures.Support legacy systems while contributing to modernization efforts and ensuring compliance with industry standards.Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:Strong programming skills in Assembler, C, JCL, and REXX, with experience in developing and maintaining large-scale applications on IBM z/OS platforms.Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.Familiarity with industry-standard tools and technologies, including version control systems and agile project management methodologies.BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary package, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for career growth and professional development.
