About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Costing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing product costing activities, analyzing variances, and providing business insights to support informed decision-making.Develop and implement efficient costing processes to ensure accurate and timely cost calculations.Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in product costing and provide actionable recommendations to management.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve costing processes.Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of SAP product costing functionality and best practices.Key ResponsibilitiesTransition of BU level costing activities to finance CoEResponsible for product costing activities performed within the ERP system (SAP) for the markets that have costing activities centralizedEstablish process for analysis of variances (Price & Factory) and provide business insights including actionable items to reduce variances compared to established standardsLiaise with technology teams to resolve issues in processes or reportsPrincipal AccountabilitiesSingle point contact for SAP product costingIndependently handle entire product costing activities on SAP.Regular review of materials that are pending for cost release and liaise with markets for timely update of standard costs.Operational AnalysisAnalyze procurement transactions and identify the cause for price varianceReview exceptions and abnormal variances and liaise with markets to take corrective actionFactory variance analysis and consolidationMonth Close ActivitiesReview of gross stocks and reports that provide value of gross stock based on group accounting policyCalculate variance to be calculated based on group policiesAdherence to standard methodology for calculation of provisions and bring improvements in process as required
