API Assurance SpecialistJob DescriptionThe API Assurance Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and stability of our APIs. This entails owning end-to-end testing, building and maintaining automation suites, collaborating with backend engineers and product teams, designing test plans, and driving release readiness.Main Responsibilities:Owning comprehensive testing of APIs, including functional, integration, regression, contract, and negative scenarios.Developing and maintaining API automation suites using Postman, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Playwright.Collaborating closely with backend engineers and product teams to ensure seamless quality and stability before every release.Designing, creating, and reviewing test plans, test cases, and test data for robust coverage.Driving release readiness by providing QA sign-offs and supporting UAT/production validations.Required Skills and QualificationsThe ideal candidate should possess:Mandatory Skills:Hands-on experience in manual API testing using Postman, REST, JSON, and Swagger.Proven automation experience with JavaScript/TypeScript-based tools (Playwright preferred).A solid understanding of HTTP protocols, authentication, webhooks, and databases (MongoDB/MySQL).Excellent debugging and log analysis skills to identify and resolve issues effectively.Desirable QualificationsCandidates with exposure to fintech, payments, or Web3 flows, as well as familiarity with performance and security testing tools like JMeter or K6, and CI/CD pipelines and Git for version control and automation, will be considered highly desirable.
