Protecting India's Children and Vulnerable CommunitiesIndia is grappling with a growing public-safety crisis: stray dog attacks on children, women, the elderly, sanitation workers, and daily-wage earners. The Good Governance India Foundation is launching a major initiative to address this issue.We aim to make every child safe on their streets, ensuring parents can let them play or walk to school without fear.A network of social workers, volunteers, field coordinators, and community mobilisers will be assembled across India to achieve this mission.Who We Are Looking For:Compassionate individuals committed to human rightsSkilled in community outreach, fieldwork, or documentationAbility to collect victim stories, verify incidents, and support affected familiesWillingness to work with slum communities, labour settlements, schools, and clinicsComfort with basic digital reporting (WhatsApp, forms, photos, geotagging)Motivation to strengthen a national movement for child safety, dignity, and justiceBoth professionals and citizen volunteers are welcome.Key Responsibilities:Document and report verified stray-dog attacksSupport parents and victims in accessing legal helpAssist in collecting data for public-interest litigationAdvocacy for change in legal, policy, and local government practicesFundraising from those who can afford to payOperational and legal guidance will be provided.Why This Role Matters:The struggle for child safety disproportionately affects poorer communities.Your efforts will amplify their voices and ensure their rights are upheld.
